Full Stack Software Engineer, Lead

This role is more than just coding. As a lead full-stack developer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team as they learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:
Experience with Elasticsearch, Node.js with Typescript, PostgreSQL, Redis, and SQL
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience with application programming interfaces (API) development
Knowledge of best practices for front-end design and UI and UX methodologies
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience with software engineering and development or Master's degree and 8+ years of experience with software engineering and development
Nice If You Have:
Experience with containers, Java, JavaScript, JSON, MongoDB, NestJS, Node Package Manager (NPM), XML, Typescript, Angular, or Spring and Hibernate
Experience with OpenAI or other AI technologies
Experience with OpenShift, Oracle, SharePoint, Solr, State management, or TypeORM
Experience with VBAs, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Rag, Doc reranking, or vector searches and vector databases
Experience with Semantic Search, Embedding Models, or Agentic Systems
Experience with Amazon bedrock, S3, Dynamo DB, or Minio
Knowledge of cloud environments
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
AWS Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
