Pay

$30 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking highly-motivated and experienced Production Technicians who are based in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) on a freelance basis.

Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Position Responsibilities:

-Installation, focus, and strike of theatrical lighting equipment and temporary electrical distribution

-Unload/load trucks as necessary during load-in/strike

-Follow direction from onsite leadership team

-Read and execute drafting and associated paperwork for productions

-Assist with other production disciplines as necessary (audio, video, rigging, and scenic)

Position Requirements:

-Minimum 2 years of experience as a stage/event electrician

-Experience working with conventional, LED, and automated lighting fixtures

-Working knowledge of basic electrical and rigging safety principles

-Comfortable working at heights (on ladders and lifts)

-Experience with temporary electrical power distribution, DMX, and related control signals

-Availability and willingness to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

-Demonstrate initiative and ownership of assigned tasks

-Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with additional production disciplines such as audio, video, rigging, and fabrication

-Experience working with Astera Wireless LED and Clay Paky automated fixtures

-Experience with Jands Stage CL and GrandMA consoles

-Able to lift up to 50 pounds

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

-Ability to use boom lifts, forklifts, and drive large vehicles (16' to 24' box trucks - CDL Not Required)
