Responsibilities
- Partner cross-functionally with accounting, operations, CLIA lab, IT, and facilities teams to deliver cost accounting solutions.
- Lead costing, variances, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning focused on product cost control.
- Provide financial direction and challenge business assumptions during planning and budgeting.
- Manage monthly and quarterly close of COGS and inventory accounting, including journal entries and SOX compliance.
- Analyze inventory for excess/obsolete reserves and manage related accounting entries.
- Develop and maintain cost calculation methodologies for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Support ERP and FP&A system initiatives ensuring data accuracy related to cost controlling.
- Drive cost analysis and financial insights to influence investment and cost-saving strategies.
- Assist in streamlining company planning processes and deliver ad-hoc financial analysis.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
- MBA or Big-4 experience preferred
