Responsibilities
- Develop protocol concepts, full protocols, and clinical development plans for rheumatology programs
- Provide medical leadership and oversight during trial execution (risk assessment, safety/efficacy, operational alignment)
- Medical monitoring and project physician responsibilities for phase 2-4 studies
- Advise business development on candidate assessment and participate in licensing discussions
- Contribute to therapeutic area and study design strategy based on scientific and clinical landscapes
- Drive improvements in trial operations and medical processes to accelerate timelines
- Train internal teams and clinical sites on disease areas, MOA, and protocol requirements
- Provide input and creative strategies for patient recruitment and engagement
Education
- MD or DO (or equivalent) required
- Board certification (Internal Medicine preferred)
