Responsibilities
- Serve as designated privacy and security officer under GDPR and lead compliance for CCPA/CPRA, NY SHIELD Act, and emerging laws.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of the company's Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Lead privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and training.
- Oversee contractual data privacy reviews including DPAs, SCCs, and vendor addenda.
- Act as primary contact for EU/EEA Supervisory Authorities, Data Subjects, and auditors.
- Monitor global privacy legal developments and assess operational impacts.
- Advise product and engineering teams on privacy-by-design and default.
- Collaborate with Information Security for privacy and cybersecurity alignment.
- Manage responses to data subject access requests and data breach incidents.
- Support cross-border data transfer strategies and assessments.
Education
- Legal degree required.
- Certifications like CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM are strongly preferred.
