Responsibilities
- Serve as designated privacy and security officer under GDPR and lead compliance initiatives for CCPA/CPRA, NY SHIELD Act.
- Maintain and own the company’s Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Lead privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Oversee contractual data privacy reviews including DPAs, SCCs, and vendor privacy addenda.
- Act as primary contact for EU/EEA Supervisory Authorities, Data Subjects, and external auditors.
- Monitor global privacy regulations and assess their impact on operations.
- Advise product and engineering teams on privacy-by-design principles.
- Collaborate with Information Security to align privacy and cybersecurity protocols.
- Lead responses to data subject access requests (DSARs) and breach incidents.
- Assist with cross-border data transfer strategies including adequacy and transfer impact assessments.
Education
- Legal degree required.
