About the Role

We need a marketing generalist who thrives in organized chaos and can jump between content ops, community building, paid campaigns, and partnership outreach without missing a beat. This role morphs based on what moves the needle and your unique strengths.

You might spend Monday automating our content pipeline, Tuesday launching a paid ads experiment, Wednesday coordinating with dev influencers, and Thursday shipping a partnership announcement. If you're allergic to doing the same thing every day, you'll love this.

What You'll Do

The exact mix depends on your skills and what Firecrawl needs, but expect to touch:

Content Operations & Systems

  • Own the Content Calendar (Linear) — Keep every topic, deadline, and asset on track. Nothing ships late, nothing falls through the cracks

  • Technical Writing & Content Polish — Transform AI drafts or contributor posts into crystal-clear docs, tutorials, and release notes that delight developers

  • Multi-Channel Coordination — Keep content flowing across blog, social, email, and community. Track performance and iterate fast

Community & Partnerships

  • Creator CRM Wrangler (HubSpot) — Build and maintain pipelines for influencers and freelance dev-writers: source talent, recruit the right voices, and automate follow-ups

  • Manage developer community engagement across Discord, GitHub, Twitter/X

  • Coordinate partnership launches, co-marketing campaigns, and integration announcements

  • Run ambassador programs, hackathons, or developer challenges

Marketing Operations

  • Automation Architecture (n8n/Zapier) — Design flows and quick scripts to eliminate repetitive tasks—publishing, reporting, outreach, you name it

  • Build reporting dashboards that actually get looked at

  • Optimize our marketing tech stack and keep data flowing between tools

  • Asset & Design Support (Figma) — Jump in for quick graphic tweaks, thumbnails, or lightweight video trims when needed

Growth Experiments

  • Launch and optimize paid ad campaigns (Google, LinkedIn, Reddit, Twitter/X)

  • Test new channels—from developer newsletters to Stack Overflow ads

  • Run email campaigns and lifecycle marketing

  • A/B test everything from landing pages to onboarding flows

Wild Cards

  • Event coordination (virtual and IRL)

  • Product launches and announcement campaigns

  • Developer relations and technical evangelism

  • Whatever else needs doing to grow Firecrawl

Who You Are

Location: Remote—U.S. time zone

Must-Haves:

  • Systems thinker — You bring clarity and structure to moving pieces

  • Fluent in dev speak — You can explain webhooks without losing the reader

  • Automation-first — You build systems once instead of repeating tasks

  • Speed over polish — You ship content in days, not weeks

  • Self-starter — You don't wait for permission

  • Internet native — You know what's working in dev marketing and what's noise

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with our stack: Linear, HubSpot, n8n/Zapier, Figma

  • Background in developer tools, APIs, or technical products

  • Track record of wearing multiple marketing hats successfully

  • Experience with paid advertising in technical/B2B spaces

  • Community building or DevRel experience

Bonus Points

  • Led content ops or DevRel at a seed–Series C startup

  • Shipped your own content or product with traction

  • Can point to systems you've built that scaled ops or marketing

  • Have founder DNA or were a solo content engine at a startup

  • Ran a creator or ambassador program with lots of moving parts

  • Built marketing operations from scratch at an early-stage company

  • Managed successful product launches for developer tools
