Skills
- 5+ years of design management experience, ideally including managing managers
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and research
- Hands-on expertise with Figma and modern design tooling
- Strong strategic thinking and clear communication skills
- Experience mentoring and developing senior design talent
- Familiarity with AI developments and modern tooling in product design
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and scale processes
Responsibilities
- Manage, hire, and grow a group of designers and design managers across pillar-level product initiatives
- Partner with product and engineering leads to set strategy, roadmaps, and improve team execution processes
- Coach teams and individual contributors on design practice, critiques, sprints, and delivery
- Advocate for design perspectives across the organization and influence product and business decisions
- Balance people management with hands-on oversight of strategy and execution
- Advance team practices around prototyping, design systems, and collaboration
- Drive hiring, performance reviews, and career development for direct reports
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience in product design and design leadership accepted
