Head of Lifestyle Products

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is seeking a culturally in-tune, trend-driven Head of Lifestyle Products to lead development of apparel, accessories, collectibles, and home goods that connect Fender’s iconic heritage with contemporary culture. The role owns product strategy and execution across the lifecycle — from trend forecasting and line planning to sourcing, sampling, and go-to-market — partnering with creative, eCommerce, global merchandising, and external vendors to drive commercially successful, culture-forward lifestyle collections.

Skills

  • Strong trend forecasting and line planning experience in fashion or lifestyle categories.
  • Proven product development and vendor management skills with global sourcing experience.
  • Commercial acumen with experience optimizing products for DTC channels and marketplaces.
  • Fluency with PLM systems, GTM processes, and eCommerce merchandising best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Project management and organizational ability to manage multiple seasonal calendars and launch timelines.
  • Passion for music culture and an ability to translate cultural insights into product.

Responsibilities

  • Lead trend forecasting, seasonal briefs, and line planning to inform lifestyle product concepts and collections.
  • Own end-to-end product development from ideation through design, sampling, approvals, production, and delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships, sourcing, negotiating costs, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery across global suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Design, Brand Marketing, and artist partners to align products with Fender’s visual identity and cultural storytelling.
  • Partner with eCommerce, digital merchandising, and Amazon channel teams to optimize product assortment, pricing, content, and sell-through.
  • Monitor product performance and inventory across channels, adjusting strategy to maximize ROI and conversion.
  • Coordinate globally with merchandising, planning, product operations, and regional teams to ensure seasonal readiness and international relevance.
  • Maintain PLM/product data, calendars, and participate in GTM reviews and seasonal planning meetings.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field (required).
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred but not required.
