Compliance Specialist
Skills
- Deep knowledge of BSA/AML, sanctions, KYB, and lending compliance
- Experience with bank partnership diligence and onboarding
- Strong project management and ability to run complex, cross-functional programs
- Experience with transaction monitoring and suspicious activity investigations
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management
- Analytical skills and comfort working with compliance data and reporting
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance policies, processes, and resources across BSA/AML, sanctions, KYB, and fair lending
- Map compliance requirements for new features, products, and partnerships with Product and Engineering
- Support escalations from Risk Ops on transaction monitoring, suspicious activity investigations, and sanctions/PEP screening
- Manage due diligence and onboarding with prospective financial partners and drive issue resolution
- Coordinate timely responses to auditors and regulators on compliance matters
- Advance testing, monitoring, and reporting frameworks and drive remediation of findings
- Monitor global regulatory developments and translate changes into actionable program updates
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required
- Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) are a plus
- Ongoing compliance training or equivalent professional development preferred
