Position Summary
Extreme Networks is seeking a highly skilled IT Program/Project Manager to lead complex, multi-site infrastructure deployments across global enterprise environments. This full-time role blends strategic program leadership with hands-on project execution, requiring a strong technical foundation in networking and infrastructure, as well as proven experience managing large-scale IT initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure—including Wi-Fi, wired networks, backend systems, and software platforms—and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, manage risks, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
· Lead enterprise-wide infrastructure programs aligned with strategic IT and business objectives.
· Develop and manage long-term roadmaps, budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
· Drive collaboration across engineering, operations, services, sales, and marketing teams.
· Identify and mitigate program-level risks and dependencies.
· Provide executive-level reporting and strategic insights throughout the program lifecycle.
Project Management & Execution
· Manage end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, including wireless and wired networks, backend systems, and software integrations.
· Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Develop and maintain integrated project plans across multiple technology domains.
· Coordinate activities across engineering, construction, cabling, staging, and testing teams.
· Lead regular status meetings and maintain centralized project documentation.
· Ensure delivery of complete project closeout materials, including RF/network engineering documentation and support assets.
Change & Scope Management
· Lead structured change control processes to manage scope, cost, and schedule impacts.
· Ensure all changes are documented, approved, and tracked through formal processes.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Business.
· PMP certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ITIL, Agile, Six Sigma) are a plus.
· 15+ years of experience in IT program and project management, with a strong focus on enterprise infrastructure.
· Proven success managing large-scale, multi-site technology deployments (e.g., campuses, global rollouts).
· Deep technical knowledge of networking principles, systems integration, and IT operations.
· Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience with performance evaluation, change management, and risk mitigation.
