Job Description
Join our team and help develop a premier Android native app used by millions of people. Reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will have opportunities to grow both technically and professionally. You Will
- Contribute to the development of Experian's flagship Android native application
- Implement new features
- Enhance existing ones based on our requirements
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Ensure code quality through automated testing and continuous integration
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Resolve performance and scalability issues
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues reported by users or discovered through testing
- Ensure the application meets Google's design principles and interface guidelines
- Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and development processes
- Provide clear technical documentation for future reference
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Android app development
- You are proficiency in Kotlin and Java
- Experience with Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and XML
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services
- Knowledge of Google's design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub
- Proficiency in Android Studio and other development tools
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Android apps
