About the role:
The Family Mentor Lead will be responsible for managing, leading, and supporting their team of direct report Family Mentors and working alongside a multidisciplinary care team to provide support and skill-building to carer families and patient support people.
Outside of sessions, Family Mentor Leads run support/skill-building groups, support their team members through supervision, support the Director of Family Mentorship with team-specific objectives, and take on additional tasks as needed. The Family Mentor Lead is motivated by the ultimate goal of supporting their direct report team members in providing the highest quality evidence-based treatments for eating disorders (and providing treatment support to their own caseload) so that everyone can achieve lasting recovery.
The hired candidate will be expected to work 8am-5pm Pacific hours
Responsibilities:
Manage and support a team of direct report Family Mentors.
Meet with carer families and patient support people for virtual sessions, tailoring session content to their unique needs, actively listening, and holding space for their experiences.
Lead support groups for patient support people to create an Equip community for carers and provide skills-training.
Practice responsible self-disclosure, drawing from lived experience to an appropriate degree.
Consistently complete thorough and timely documentation according to Equip standards for other providers to access, review, and reference.
Attend and participate in various internal meetings.
Participate in initial and ongoing training as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Team managerial/supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
Operational (process improvement) experience and demonstrated Change Management effectiveness in a growing enterprise
Lived experience as an eating disorder caregiver for a loved one in firm and stable recovery.
2+ years of experience working directly with patients and/or their families in a care setting including, but not limited to, mentorship, social work, or milieu therapy.
Passion for helping patients and their families as they navigate eating disorder treatment.
Proficient in slide deck and spreadsheet creation and iteration (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, GSuite, etc.)
Ability to connect with a range of diverse people with varying lived experiences.
Passion for evidence-based care and treatment as well as an ability to learn, practice, and continuously develop skills such rapport-building and motivational interviewing.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Data driven with demonstrated experience using data to guide clinical care and preferred experience with holding others accountable to performance metrics.
Organized and results driven.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment including the strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people, and projects simultaneously.
Compensation
$71K – $86K • Offers Bonus

Physical Demands
Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
