MIYO Health is hiring a full-time, in-person Occupational Therapist to support students in the Detroit area for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive, mission-driven team while making a meaningful impact on students’ success and independence.
Position Overview
- Model: Traditional direct/indirect service delivery
- Caseload: Approximately 42 students
- Evaluations: Responsible for therapy and evaluations
- Evaluation Load: Expect approximately 40–60 evaluations over the school year
- Schedule: Full-time, school-day hours
- Start Date: Staff return: August 13, 2025 | Students begin: August 26, 2025
What You’ll Do
- Provide occupational therapy services to students based on IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and participate in eligibility meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to support student success
- Document services, write reports, and maintain compliance with state/district policies
- Contribute to a team-focused, student-first environment
- Valid Michigan license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Must be available for in-person services in Detroit, MI
