Job Description:
Job Summary
Transform legal operations data into actionable intelligence to optimize spend, strengthen vendor performance, and guide leadership decisions through dashboards, analytics, and financial controls (while embedding responsible practices for data privacy and oversight where applicable).
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Align budgets to legal strategy; lead invoice review, budget‑to‑actual monitoring, variance analysis, and spend forecasting.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and trend analyses; translate leadership questions into metrics and repeatable reporting.
- Partner with legal, procurement, and finance to translate requirements into tech‑enabled processes and enterprise reporting.
- Provide data‑driven insights, modeling, external benchmarks, and best practices to inform law firm/vendor selection and performance management.
- Implement sensible data‑governance practices (confidentiality controls, validation and QA steps, human‑in‑the‑loop for key decisions).
- Produce a monthly KPI dashboard and written status updates; support quarterly business reviews and annual performance assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5–7+ years in financial analysis, legal operations analytics, or vendor performance management within corporate legal or consulting.
- Strong quantitative skills with demonstrated experience turning raw data into decision‑ready insights and visualizations.
- Fluency in matter/spend data structures and invoice review processes; ability to partner with legal, procurement, and finance stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience benchmarking law‑firm KPIs, building vendor scorecards, and developing forecasting models.
- Familiarity with responsible analytics practices, including validation, bias checks, confidentiality, and human oversight.
Success Measures (Examples)
- Accuracy and timeliness of dashboards and forecasts, including minimal rework required by stakeholders.
- Documented cost‑optimization opportunities identified and implemented.
- Actionable insights adopted in quarterly business reviews and annual performance assessments.
The Compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000 USD annually and you are eligible for an annual bonus.
