Epic is looking for an experienced Editor to oversee and manage a diverse list of children’s book titles, collaborating with various cross-functional teams to shape the future of reading for kids.
Responsibilities: Manage and edit 20–25 titles annually, overseeing the entire editorial process from acquisition to publication and collaborating with multiple teams.
Skills: Strong editorial vision, negotiation skills, understanding of the children's publishing market, and the ability to discover talent outside traditional pathways.
Qualifications: 5–7+ years in editing children’s literature with strong acquisition experience and established relationships with authors and agents; excellent project management skills required.
Location: Preferred location is San Jose; open to remote work.
Compensation: $70000 - $70000 / Annually

This role is ideal for a publishing professional with a strong commercial sensibility, a proven acquisitions track record, and deep relationships with authors and agents.
In this role, you will oversee a diverse list of titles and manage the editorial process end-to-end, from acquisition through publication. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in identifying trends and discovering new creative voices—both through traditional publishing channels and emerging, non-traditional pathways.
$70,000 base salary + bonus
