Skills
- 4-7 years working with AWS storage services (S3, EFS, FSx for NetApp ONTAP preferred).
- Hands-on experience with NetApp features such as SnapMirror, SnapClone, and BlueXP.
- Proficiency with storage protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI) and object storage APIs.
- Experience automating infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with AWS DataSync and storage-related networking (VPC, subnets, security groups).
- Knowledge of storage monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail) and cost management strategies.
- Experience designing and implementing data protection and BCDR solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable storage architectures using AWS S3, EFS, and FSx (including FSx for NetApp ONTAP).
- Optimize storage performance, tiering, lifecycle policies, and cost across object and file storage.
- Implement and enforce storage security: encryption, access controls, and compliance measures.
- Develop and manage backup, versioning, replication (SnapMirror), and disaster recovery strategies.
- Automate storage provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Monitor storage performance, capacity utilization, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Integrate storage solutions with compute, databases, and enterprise applications.
- Support migrations and data transfer strategies (DataSync, rehosting/replatforming/refactoring).
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related performance, availability, and connectivity issues.
- Establish and promote storage governance, best practices, and cross-team collaboration.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant AWS certifications are a plus (Solutions Architect, Cloud Practitioner).
