Skills
- 5+ years with AWS storage services (S3, EFS, FSx - FSx for NetApp ONTAP preferred)
- Hands-on experience with NetApp technologies (SnapMirror, SnapClone, BlueXP)
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Storage protocols and APIs: NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, object APIs
- Experience with data replication, migration patterns and BCDR planning
- Knowledge of storage security: encryption, IAM, access controls, compliance
- Monitoring and logging experience (CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
- Familiarity with AWS networking concepts relevant to storage (VPC, subnets, security groups)
- Cost estimation, monitoring and storage cost optimization skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud storage architectures using AWS S3, EFS, and FSx (NetApp ONTAP)
- Optimize storage performance, tiering, lifecycle policies, and cost across storage classes
- Develop and operate backup, versioning, replication, migration, and disaster recovery strategies
- Implement storage security controls including encryption, IAM policies, and compliance measures
- Automate storage provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Monitor storage performance, capacity utilization, costs, and implement optimization actions
- Integrate storage solutions with compute, databases, analytics pipelines, and applications
- Leverage NetApp features (SnapMirror, SnapClone, BlueXP) for advanced data management
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage performance, availability, and connectivity issues
- Advise and collaborate with architects, data engineers, and application teams on storage requirements and governance
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Practitioner) preferred
