Approves of CEO

Pros

Diverse culture. Good benefits. Great work environment. Hybrid work model not strictly forced.

Cons

Pay is not always competitive. Hard work is not always rewarded. So large that each position in security is very granular so its hard to hands on experience in the full scope of Cyber Security.

At Dell Technologies, we know that preparing and attracting the future workforce, developing and retaining an empowered workforce and then scaling for maximum impact delivers business and social value that is just as important to Dell’s market leadership as our technology strategy and execution. A diverse and inclusive environment ensures that Dell is a place where people want to work, team members feel they belong and our values reflect those of our customers.

Put simply, creating a diverse and inclusive culture is key to how we will unlock our innovative spirit so we continue to grow our business and ensure success, both today and in the future.

Attract and build the future workforce

We’re creating a workforce that is accessible and attractive to a diverse talent pool, at all stages of life, by:

  • Investing in STEM education early into the K-12 years
  • Preparing underrepresented college students for STEM careers
  • Facilitating Dell Career ReStart, a support program for professionals reentering the workforce

Develop and retain the future workforce

Development and retention are important goals, and to maintain them, we foster engagement through:

  • Employee resource groups (ERG) that allow team members with similar backgrounds to lead, connect and grow
  • Our Diversity Leadership Accelerator Program (DLAP), a nine-month coaching and sponsorship program to help high-performing women advance in their careers
  • A clear path to career advancement and leadership roles

Scale for maximum impact

We take steps like these to develop a community that matches the values of our internal one:

  • Many Advocating Real Change (MARC) foundational learning, a way to nurture inclusion through honest and transparent discussions in a judgment-free space
  • Helping team members and customers identify biases and other behaviors that hinder inclusion
  • Choosing partner organizations that help develop meaningful, systemic change in the world

Strategic Focus Areas

  • Women’s Initiatives (Gender Empowerment)- Dell Technologies is committed to attracting, retaining and developing women across its global operations. We are aiming for 50% of our global workforce and 40% of our global people leaders to be team members who identify as women by 2030.  We offer formal training, networking, mentoring and other resources to effectively advance our women around the globe. Learn more at https://jobs.dell.com/women-at-dell

  • Embracing Ethnic & Cultural Diversity (Ethnic & Cultural Empowerment)- From recruiting the best talent, to ensuring a culture of belonging, to developing talent, we want everyone to be set up for success. Race, ethnicity as well as culture (socio-economic status, religion, language) are often dimensions of diversity that create barriers to full equity and inclusion in parts of the world. As such, Dell dedicates resources to create new, innovative initiatives focused on ethnic and cultural empowerment. We've also set a goal that by 2030, 25% of our U.S. workforce and 15% of our U.S. people leaders will be Black/African American and Hispanic/Latino minorities.

  • Employee Resource Groups (Team Member Empowerment)- Dell’s Employee Resource Groups are communities within Dell where team members with common interests or backgrounds bring their collective voices together to drive innovation, create business opportunities and develop inspiring leaders. Because these groups are so powerful in shaping our culture and positively contributing to our business through increased employee engagement, we have set a goal for 50% percent of our team members to be involved in at least one ERG by 2030.
About Dell

Through an inclusive environment where differences are respected to unlock our innovative spirit, we commit to do the absolute best we can for our company, our customers and our communities. We provide a steady foundation of work/life balance and respect so our team members can innovate at every turn, to make an impact on the world and their future.
