We are hiring a bold, inventive leader to run Developer & PLG Marketing. This role is at the heart of Deepgram’s growth—sitting at the intersection of developer empathy and growth execution. The right candidate will bring a mix of developer credibility, marketing instincts, experimentation rigor, and PLG obsession.
This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CMO with frequent interaction with the executive team. It's a rare opportunity to help architect the organic growth motion of one of AI’s most important infrastructure companies.
Developer Marketing
Build and execute programs to reach, inspire, and enable developers globally
Lead strategy and execution for organic discovery: SEO, content, influencers, partnerships, affiliates
Drive web conversion rate optimization and funnel performance across Deepgram’s site and docs
Partner with Product, Sales, and Support to deeply understand the developer journey
Activate developer advocates and community members to extend our reach and credibility
PLG Growth
Own the top-of-funnel signup growth number across paid and organic sources
Develop and run growth experiments to drive conversion, activation, and expansion
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Digital teams to test and optimize PLG levers
Ensure smooth transitions from signup → activation → sales engagement for high-potential users
Leverage data and experimentation frameworks to unlock new paths to revenue
Drive distribution through owned and earned channels
How We Measure Success In This Role:
Accelerated growth in Deepgram’s self-serve and inbound funnel
Increased reach and engagement from developer audiences
Measurable improvements in signup conversion, activation, and time-to-value
Compelling developer-facing brand presence across web, content, and communities
7+ years in developer marketing, growth marketing, or product-led growth roles
Proven track record of driving bottom-up growth in a B2B or API-first company
Strong empathy for developers and familiarity with the tools they use
Ability to partner across Product, Engineering, and Sales
Deep understanding of growth loops, experimentation, and CRO
Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments with small, agile teams
Creative risk-taker who thrives on building new playbooks, not repeating old ones
High energy, high motivation, high intelligence, high curiosity. In it for the love of the game.
Preferred Experience
Background in marketing to technical personas or API products
Experience leading or mentoring a small team
Familiarity with voice AI or LLM-based tooling
