As Senior Director, Global Trend Innovation, you will lead the strategic identification and translation of global fashion trends, cultural shifts, and evolving consumer behaviors into future-forward creative direction that shapes the Michael Kors brand across all product categories and regions.
This role requires a visionary thinker with a global mindset and deep fluency in fashion, digital culture, and innovation — someone who can forecast what’s next while remaining grounded in the brand’s DNA of jet set optimism and effortless luxury.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, interpret, and articulate emerging global fashion trends, digital behaviors, and cultural movements — from runway and retail to Web3, AI, street style, and subcultural shifts — to inform seasonal concepting and long-term brand strategy.
Act as a cultural futurist, spotting early signals of innovation across fashion, tech, design, and lifestyle to influence how Michael Kors evolves in step with — and ahead of — the times.
Collaborate closely with Michael Kors and his design team to shape and evolve seasonal narratives—merging global trend insights with the brand’s creative vision to guide product, merchandising, marketing, and creative direction worldwide, to ensure trend direction is expressed consistently and powerfully across the consumer journey.
Infuse digital-first thinking into concepting, ensuring relevance to platforms, content formats, and creators that define how style and identity are expressed today.
Maintain a keen understanding of generational mindsets, sustainability values, and cultural moments shaping consumer attitudes globally.
Foster a culture of creativity, curiosity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in trend forecasting, concept development, or cultural strategy within fashion, lifestyle, or luxury.
Proven track record of translating global insights and digital trends into actionable, brand-right creative direction.
Strong visual storytelling and communication skills; able to influence across functions and regions.
A globally curious, digitally native thinker who balances instinct and insight with brand heritage and commercial goals.
Experience engaging with innovation, new media, and emerging technologies as they relate to fashion and culture.
