As you support Omnicare (OCR), a CVS Health company, we will support you by offering all the tools and resources you need in a collaborative team-based environment. Our goal is to ensure you are able to provide top tier service and resolution for our patient accounts.

As a Private Pay Researcher you will be responsible for monitoring and researching billable insurance on patient accounts in a long-term care setting. This role is essential to ensuring patient financial services are handled properly. The Private Pay Researcher position is responsible for resolving any resident billing questions or concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to reconcile account issues and outstanding account balances.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for long-term care residents, responsible parties, and facilities.
• Research and verify billing, insurance, and coding details for patient accounts.
• Update and maintain account documentation within designated work queues.
• Review account status and take appropriate action to ensure accuracy and progress.
• Handle inbound calls to assist with billing inquiries and account resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
• Process payments and perform post-payment follow-up.
• Support corporate initiatives and participate in campaign strategies led by leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in high-volume environments.
• Experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to navigate and work across multiple systems and software platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare billing or long-term care settings.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and account reconciliation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.

Education

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $35.29

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
