Account Executive (Data Sales)

Crunchbase provides predictive private-company intelligence powered by live data, AI, and market activity. We're hiring a Corporate Account Executive to sell data and API products to B2B customers—prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals with senior decision-makers while partnering closely with Customer Success and Solution Engineering to land, expand, and shape product strategy.

Skills

  • Proven experience selling data products, analytics, or APIs to corporate/B2B customers
  • Strong understanding of data monetization and data licensing considerations
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and strong pipeline management
  • Experience engaging senior decision-makers (C-suite, VP/SVP)
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar sales methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort collaborating cross-functionally with CS, SE, PMM, and product teams
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and common sales tools (CRM, demo tools)

Responsibilities

  • Independently prospect, research, and develop outbound opportunities within assigned book and target accounts
  • Assess inbound/SDR leads, qualify use cases, and develop targeted sales strategies for Predictions & Insights
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of ~2.5x annual quota and consistently meet or exceed sales targets
  • Position Crunchbase value proposition and differentiate against competitors to deliver clear business outcomes
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to identify upsell and expansion opportunities across accounts
  • Work with Solution Engineers on Data Trials/POCs to validate technical fit and accelerate close
  • Partner with SDRs to execute ABM strategies for named accounts
  • Provide market feedback and product insights to Product and Engineering teams

Education

  • Minimum 2+ years as an AE selling SaaS/B2B products
  • Direct experience selling data and API products
  • Experience with account expansion, upsell, and cross-functional selling
  • Experience applying MEDDPICC or similar qualification methodology
