Application Support Engineer

Cresta builds AI-driven software to improve contact center performance and customer conversations. They seek an experienced, technically proficient Application Support Engineer to join Customer Success and troubleshoot integrations, telephony, and platform issues while acting as the technical advocate for customers and collaborating with Engineering and Product teams.

Skills

  • Proven troubleshooting across web hosting, servers, and network architecture
  • Strong API knowledge (HTTP methods, automation and data integrations)
  • Experience analyzing application logs and performance of microservices
  • Familiarity with telephony signaling (SIP, H.323) and media protocols (RTP)
  • Experience with support ticketing systems (Zendesk, Linear, JIRA)
  • Customer-centric communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across APIs, databases, servers, microservices, web hosting, telephony, networking, and containerized applications
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact for customers via email and support portal, delivering clear and empathetic communication
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Sales to escalate bugs, feature requests, and critical incidents
  • Reproduce customer issues in test environments and validate fixes
  • Create and maintain documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles
  • Participate in rotational on-call support for urgent incidents
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process or product improvements

Education

  • Relevant technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering) preferred but not required
  • Equivalent hands-on experience in technical support or customer-facing engineering roles accepted
