Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve general liability claims with a focus on construction defect matters
- Manage claim files from assignment through resolution while meeting company SLAs and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and review coverage analyses, reserve recommendations, and settlement negotiations
- Work with claimants, policyholders, attorneys, vendors, and internal stakeholders to move files to resolution
- Document file activity accurately in claims management systems and generate required reports
- Ensure compliance with state-specific claims handling regulations and licensing requirements
- Participate in training, file reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, business, or related field preferred
- Relevant industry designations (AIC, CPCU) preferred but not required
