Job Description

The Director, Corporate FP&A is a key leadership position within the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence at Cornerstone Building Brands. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the financial planning processes that drive enterprise-wide performance and strategic decision-making.

The Corporate FP&A team is charged with delivering thoughtful, reliable, timely, and accurate financial insights that inform and influence the business. This position supports a diverse set of stakeholders, including the Corporate FP&A function itself, multiple business units and divisions.

1. Strategic Planning & Financial Leadership

  • Owns the annual budget and future 18-month rolling forecast process.
  • Coordinates input and collaboration across multiple divisions and stakeholders.
  • Delivers timely, reliable, and insightful financial information to the organization.
  • Identifies, quantifies, and articulates strategic opportunities and risks through financial modeling and scenario analysis.

2. Team Leadership

  • Directly leads a team of three FP&A professionals.
  • Oversees multi-level, cross-divisional planning initiatives.
  • Invests in talent development, aligning the team with future-facing mindsets and competencies.

3. Process and Tool Optimization

  • Champions automation and process improvement to streamline and accelerate data preparation and reporting.
  • Supports KPI development and performance management across the business using both internal benchmarks and external indicators.

4. Executive Decision Support

  • Acts as a thought partner to the VP of Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations.
  • Provides specialized advice at the business unit level to influence capital allocation, strategic investments, and cost management initiatives.
  • Supports investor relations through analysis and preparation of content for lenders calls and MD&A.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (required) with strong Business Analysis experience.
  • Graduate degree or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in people management
  • Manufacturing or product driven industry experience required
  • OneStream software experience strongly preferred
  • Strong technical capability with a wide range of financial experience and the ability to automate and streamline financial information
  • Exhibits strong time management skills; able to work through roadblocks to meet commitments timely
  • Strong, high character, flexible leader with ability to effectively collaborate with others within and outside the organization
  • Action oriented professional with a take charge, can-do attitude
  • High level knowledge of financial reporting concepts processes required
  • Mergers, acquisition, and divestiture modeling experience preferred
