Senior Security Engineer
Skills
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, and Cloudflare architecture and security features.
- Experience designing secure CI/CD pipelines integrating automated security controls.
- Proficiency in Python, with exposure to Javascript and Go for security code reviews.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes security including runtime protection.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong foundational networking expertise including cloud networking, OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
- Proficiency with authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT, IAM).
- Experience with vulnerability management, threat modeling, incident response, and application security frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
Responsibilities
- Lead and prioritize security initiatives organization-wide, collaborating cross-functionally.
- Conduct complex security assessments and lead remediation efforts for cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
- Support and advance vulnerability management programs through automation and coverage expansion.
- Architect and develop scalable security solutions and monitoring standards.
- Drive incident investigations, detection, and response for cloud and container environments.
- Stay current on emerging threats and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Mentor team members to foster security awareness and best practices.
- Ensure security compliance via automated controls and practical solution implementation.
- Communicate complex security concepts clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
Education
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in security engineering or related fields.
