Senior Director of Product Management, Cybersecurity

The Senior Director of Product will work closely with the executive team to define and drive product strategy, while actively managing the product lifecycle—from concept through delivery and iteration. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic product vision with tactical execution.

This leader will be deeply involved in day-to-day product activities, including roadmap development, feature definition, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. They will gain a deep understanding of CodeHunter’s core analysis technologies and ensure our products deliver exceptional value and customer experiences.

Candidates must have a strong understanding of the Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) space and the broader enterprise cybersecurity market, including buyer and user motivations. In addition to product delivery, the Senior Director will lead competitive market analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Define and Communicate Product Strategy

• Partner with the CEO, COO, and CTO to translate company goals into a clear, actionable product strategy and roadmap.
• Communicate this strategy across all teams — ensuring clarity, alignment, and shared ownership of priorities.
• Build business cases for new capabilities, integrations, and market opportunities.

Own and Execute the Product Roadmap

• Personally develop and maintain product roadmaps, business cases, and feature backlogs.
• Lead the creation of detailed requirements, user stories, personas, task flows, and journey maps.
• Ensure all product initiatives are clearly scoped, measurable, and deliver business impact.
• Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural integrity.

Be a Hands-On Product Leader

• Work side-by-side with Product, Engineering and R&D teams to guide development priorities, validate technical feasibility, and support sprint execution.
• Participate directly in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product reviews — actively removing blockers and driving momentum.
• Direct and manage product integrations including requirements
• Roll up your sleeves to write requirements, refine features, and validate customer outcomes.
• Ensure every release delivers real, measurable value to customers and partners.

Represent the Customer and Market

• Become an expert in the MSSP and enterprise cybersecurity market, understanding buyer motivations, workflows, and value drivers.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to integrate customer and partner feedback into ongoing product evolution.
• Define and track product success metrics that reflect customer adoption and satisfaction.
• Own the end-to-end product experience — from usability to operational performance.

Market Intelligence

• Continuously monitor market trends, competitor capabilities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunity spaces.
• Lead competitive analysis and market intelligence efforts to inform roadmap decisions.
• Leverage deep industry knowledge to anticipate trends and define a forward-looking roadmap that positions CodeHunter as a market leader.

Lead and Develop Cross Functionally

• Mentor and develop Product Managers and cross-functional contributors.
• Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and execution excellence.
• Implement repeatable processes for planning, prioritization, and feedback without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

• 8+ years of experience in product management, product design, or business analysis within agile environments.
• 4+ years leading product or cross-functional teams.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity — ideally within MSSP, MDR, or enterprise security contexts.
• Job location: Tysons Corner, VA, with remote work available on Friday
• Proven success in launching products from concept through delivery in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Strong understanding of security architectures, threat analysis, and SOC operations.
• Excellent communicator — able to translate between technical depth and business impact.
• Data-driven decision-maker with sound judgment and entrepreneurial drive.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and operating autonomously while maintaining alignment with company leadership.
• Technical degree in computer science or engineering preferred
