The Tepper School of Business is home to many programs and research programs that cross disciplines. We approach scientific problems from fresh angles using creative interdisciplinary approaches while drawing on our strengths in the core social sciences. Tepper faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized for their research in a variety of fields, including organizational behavior and theory, economics, finance, and accounting.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Research Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and training in all stages of the research process. Your work will be supervised by Dr. Matthew Denes (Assistant Professor of Finance, Carnegie Mellon University).
Core responsibilities include:
Obtain and manipulate data from various sources
Construct and analyze data using statistical software packages
Assist with the production of working papers and publications
Other duties as assigned

You should demonstrate:
Ability to work with statistics software, such as Stata or SAS
Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python
Proven ability to work independently to solve problems
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required or anticipated within a year
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
