POSITION OVERVIEW
The Recovery-Friendly Programs Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of MOED’s Certified Peer Recovery program and Career Club and meeting the administrative needs of the Recovery-Friendly Programs department. This includes coordination between the training provider, worksite supervisors, and participants, tracking and processing of training stipends and worksite hours, facilitating check-in meetings, and collaborating with the wider RFP team on the development and facilitation of job readiness workshops, graduations, and all recovery-related events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Liaison between MOED and worksite partners to ensure effective operation of MOED’s Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Training Program
Collaborates with the Recovery-Friendly Peer Program to approve and onboard worksites
Onboards and offboards all participants into the CPRS Training Program
Collects and reports timesheets of worksite participants; partners with City of Baltimore Central Payroll to submit stipend payments on a weekly basis and for all payroll-related incidents
Works in concert with the Peer Recovery Specialists and worksite representatives to ensure best workplace practices and the City of Baltimore and Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) policies are followed during the worksite training
Collects and worksite service hours and fields any inquiries from participants regarding hours and stipends
Conduct worksite visits and facilitate virtual check-ins with worksite partners to field any questions or concerns and maintain the integrity of the worksite experience
Coordinates all Certified Peer Recovery Specialist training, professional development, and related events
Communicates information regarding the activities of the CPRS program to Peer Recovery Specialists and senior personnel as required
Onboarding new participants, including collecting paperwork and confirming eligibility, conducting job readiness training, and training new worksite participants to ensure uniformity in carrying out program's mission and values
Collaborates with MOED to create, coordinate, and facilitate MOED’s Career Club for engaged job seekers and program alumni, including event planning, and the processing and distribution of any related financial incentives for participants.
Responsible for monitoring and processing the check-out of program-related materials by staff, including outreach materials and VR equipment.
Represents the CPRS training program and MOED Recovery-Friendly Programs in a professional manner at meetings and special events
Carries out these and other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by RFP leadership to accomplish the goals and objectives of the program
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree preferred.
AND
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an administrative, ideally project management, role with responsibilities that include working with multiple partners, collecting data, and/or processing timesheets, and troubleshooting concerns.
Experience may be substituted with a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.
Experience in event planning preferred.
Must be willing to work in outdoor environments
Must be willing and able to travel to multiple worksite locations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must have demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office and the creation and maintenance of spreadsheets for project management
Knowledge of substance use disorder and the process of recovery, with lived experience in recovery and/or knowledge of recovery programs and the recovery community in Baltimore City preferred
Strong writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate with different kinds of partners, including worksites, city and state employees, program participants, and the public.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
