- Experience with collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and strong documentation practices.
- Clear verbal and written communication and strong customer service orientation.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily onsite IT and AV support at the San Francisco Biohub (5 days/week), troubleshooting hardware, software, and audiovisual systems.
- Triage, manage, and document support tickets; maintain clear troubleshooting notes and close tickets per SLA.
- Support basic scientific and research computing tasks under supervision, including device installs and account management.
- Perform basic networking troubleshooting (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewall) and escalate complex network issues.
- Follow Central Tech processes and operate under the direction of the senior onsite technician.
- Maintain strong partnerships with on‑site operations and lab management to coordinate building and IT activities.
- Meet established SLAs and KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement of local IT services.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) preferred.
- Associate degree or technical diploma in IT or related field preferred but not required.
