About the RoleCCMSI is seeking an experienced Multi-Line Claim Consultant to support a dedicated client in the waste management industry. Based in our Reading, MA office, this hybrid position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented claim professional with strong jurisdictional knowledge, communication skills, and a passion for excellent service. The role begins with a 60-day in-office training period, after which a hybrid schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in office) is offered to those meeting service audit benchmarks.
You’ll manage a mixed caseload of liability claims — including bodily injury, property damage, and auto incidents — across multiple jurisdictions in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, serving as a trusted liaison between CCMSI and our client.
What You’ll Do
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust general liability and auto liability claims with minimal supervision
Establish reserves, authorize payments, and negotiate settlements
Maintain strong client and claimant communication throughout the claims lifecycle
Attend claim review meetings (quarterly), including occasional travel to NH or VT
Ensure service delivery meets CCMSI’s Best Practices and client-specific expectations
Coordinate litigation strategy with outside counsel when needed
Monitor subrogation and manage file documentation and reporting
What You’ll Need to Succeed
5–7+ years of relevant multi-line or liability claims experience
Jurisdictional knowledge in ME, NH, MA, VT, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA, WV, and KY
Must hold or be able to obtain adjuster licenses in select states
Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling claims for utility or waste management industries
Knowledge of environmental liability, bodily injury, and third-party property damage

The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
