The Opportunity:

At CACI, we're tackling the nation’s toughest challenges—and we’re looking for a dynamic Capture Manager to help us grow our impact.  In this strategic role, you’ll lead high-value capture efforts, support targeted proposals, and drive seamless transitions across the entire business development lifecycle.  Your mission?  Position CACI to win new contracts by developing compelling, customer-focused solutions—and by turning opportunity into action.

As a key leader on our Business Development (BD) team, you’ll own the capture of strategic and tactical contracts—ranging up to and beyond $50M in value—while also guiding colleagues and internal stakeholders toward successful proposal submissions and contract wins.  You’ll play a critical role in shaping pursuits, building teams, and aligning CACI’s capabilities with our federal customers’ evolving needs.

This role is primarily based in Arlington, VA, with flexibility in your daily location. You’ll participate in in-person meetings in the Arlington and Washington, D.C. metro area, and occasional travel (up to 10%) within the continental U.S.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, plan, and manage capture strategies in your assigned markets
  • Build and qualify a robust pipeline of opportunities—both tactical and strategic
  • Drive major capture efforts up to $100M in value from identification through award
  • Develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies, including solutioning, teaming, pricing, staffing, and positioning
  • Build and lead high-performing capture teams and delegate effectively across the BD lifecycle
  • Analyze customer needs, goals, decision drivers, and biases to craft winning solutions
  • Conduct competitive assessments to evaluate CACI’s positioning relative to competitors
  • Collaborate across business lines to develop compliant, compelling, and executable proposals
  • Lead milestone and gate reviews to ensure capture progress and internal alignment
  • Maintain opportunity tracking and forecasting through an organized knowledge management system
  • Identify and negotiate teaming agreements with industry partners to expand capabilities and competitiveness
  • Recommend innovative technical solutions—leveraging internal talent and vendor offerings to create value
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, continuously shaping opportunities and providing strategic insights back to BD leadership
  • Oversee proposal and capture continuity across all phases of the business development lifecycle, increasing win probability and internal efficiency

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in capture management, business development, or related activities (or equivalent education plus experience)
  • Proven ability to develop and lead capture strategies for technical and solution-oriented opportunities
  • Demonstrated leadership in building and managing industry teams, developing win strategies, and executing capture plans
  • Strong writing and communication skills across a range of formats and audiences
  • Experience independently managing multiple priorities and collaborating across departments
  • Ability to brief senior stakeholders, executives, and customer decision-makers
  • Successful track record of managing multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes and ability to manage time-sensitive, complex projects
  • Familiarity with DoD and Federal Government technologies, contracting methods, and vendors
  • Proven ability to lead, delegate, and problem-solve effectively under pressure

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in a technical or business field (e.g., economics, finance, engineering, computer science)
  • Demonstrated success in federal government capture management, including leading pursuits up to $100M
  • Experience identifying and winning single-award contracts in the federal space, particularly in program management, strategic communications, IT support, and acquisition
  • Prior business development experience with DoD, VA, or DHS
  • Active or recent Secret Clearance (DoD or Intelligence Community)
