The Department of Media is looking for a tenure-track faculty member. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to teach a broad range of media courses.What you'll do and what you will bring:
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to teach in two or more of our departmental concentration areas: Broadcast and Multimedia News, Sports Reporting, Media Production, Sports Production, Esport Production, Visual Effects and Motion Graphics, Film and Media Studies, and Media Promotion and Management. The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in our department core curriculum as well. Departmental core curriculum includes Foundations of Media, Media and the Creative Process, Media and Culture Studies, Scriptwriting, Copywriting, Media Law and Media Ethics.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in media or a related field and at least one year teaching experience at the university/college level, or five-seven years industry experience. Candidates must have a planned scholarship or creative agenda.
Preferred Qualifications: Terminal Degree in media (Ph.D., Ed.D., M.F.A.) or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with at least three – five years university/college level teaching experience.
