Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will perform Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) functions in support of multiple TOS and Government organizations. These activities include using Lean Six Sigma and other CPI techniques and methodologies to analyze processes, metrics, data, and risks to determine CPI opportunities, leading facilitation of CPI events, reporting progress to associated leadership, facilitating implementation of improvements and change initiatives, and assisting the CPI Branch Manager in further development and execution of the CPI program at AEDC (and its related GSUs).

             

Job Duties:

  • Analyze current AEDC & TOS processes, metrics, data, and risks to identify CPI opportunities for TOS leadership
  • Coach and train others assigned to facilitate or assist with CPI efforts in selecting the most effective CPI methodologies and analytical techniques (including industry-wide best practices and emerging trends)
  • Develop and maintain CPI training for the general TOS workforce, fostering a TOS culture focused on continually seeking improvement opportunities to reach the highest level of AEDC performance
  • Track cost (and other) savings, avoidances, and other quantifiable changes associated with implementation of CPI items
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional and cross-organizational teams (TOS and Government) in the execution of multiple simultaneous CPI efforts using Lean Six Sigma and other CPI techniques, methodologies, and tools to consensus and action (including causal analysis efforts)
    • Scope, plan, select the appropriate CPI approaches to effectively facilitate CPI efforts
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for CPI efforts
    • Monitor, track, and report on the progress of CPI efforts using data analysis and relevant software, ensuring objectives are met within established timelines and budget constraints
    • Identify and address barriers to change and implement solutions to overcome resistance and ensure successful adoption of new processes
    • Communicate and share CPI effort’s results and opportunities with TOS leadership
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with 12-14 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Active NACI clearance (or higher-level security clearance) and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Six Sigma or Lean training or certification(s)
  • Facilitation and/or training skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with individual contributors, functional management, senior leadership and the AEDC customer
  • Microsoft Office tool proficiency
