My background was built around a blue collar heart and a drive to fix broken things. Broken equipment, broken systems, broken cultures; to me, these are all puzzles waiting to be solved. I spent 6 years in the US Air Force honing my leadership techniques in machine shops and welding bays, in supply depots and flightlines, in training programs and maintenance scheduling.
From there, my curiosity led me to safety consultation and analysis for legal testimony. For 3 years, I investigated some of the largest logistics companies in the world in order to find the root cause of commercial motor vehicle accidents and offer preventative measures. Most recently, I spent over a year at Convoy, leading a team of 20 remote workers to drive operational excellence in the form of dedicated account support and optimization.
I have done blue collar jobs in the deserts of Afghanistan and led white collar teams in remote-first tech startups. If you want a “yes man” with an Ivy League pedigree, I am not that person. But if you want a seasoned problem solver that has a track record of finding and fixing broken or inefficient systems, look no further.
