Blackstone's Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week in-person experience, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This program provides Summer Analysts with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm, and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Blackstone's culture.

Job Description            

Blackstone’s Credit and Insurance group offers summer analysts the experience on a professional team whose work involves delivering Blackstone’s investment management expertise and products to insurance companies.  Summer analysts at Blackstone have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the middle and back-office initiatives and can expect to be staffed on several different projects at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, summer analysts are expected to assume integral roles on the BXCI Operations team.

Responsibilities

Summer analysts will work as operation professionals on the BXCI Investment Operations team.  This team works alongside business units spanning BXCI (Liquid Credit, Private Credit, Infrastructure & Asset-Based Credit, Insurance, and the Office of the CIO), with global responsibility of the investment operations for all funds, managed accounts, and insurance client strategies across BXCI. The scope of activities includes managing the allocation and liquidity needs of clients, funds and financing vehicles, new deal pipeline tracking, independently evaluating and ensuring adherence to portfolio compliance standards, processing all products traded by BXCI, from inception to servicing, client management, and performing special projects and analysis determined by the needs of senior management. The team takes a systematic and analytical approach, with a goal of producing robust, transparent, and commercially effective operational support.  Summer analysts are expected to assume integral roles and produce real-world commercial impact.  They will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute meaningfully to the team's objectives.

Qualifications

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. 

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• Prior finance, operations, insurance experience preferable
• Strong finance and data management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Works well in a lean team environment
• Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, and positive attitude

Expected annual base salary range:

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
