Job Duties: Design, implement and maintain a robust OLAP data warehouse on Snowflake and Sybase IQ that caters to Investment Book of Record (IBOR), Accounting Book of Record (ABOR) and Analytics & Risk. Conduct Data Pipeline engineering efforts for different domains that includes premium content like Investment Operational KPIs. Build pipelines on enterprise data platform leveraging core technologies that includes Airflow, DBT, Snowflake, and DataHub. Support external clients (40+) for Aladdin Data Cloud (ADC). Drive standardization across all schemas for all client environments that requires strong working knowledge in all the domains, expertise in metadata, identifying data and schema parity, collaborate with product marketing for client notifications and release management. Act as a mentor for analysts and interns.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of experience as an Associate, Application Engineer, Analyst; or a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Sybase IQ and Cassandra; Using Snowflake’s cloud data platform including Snowflake SQLs, stored procedures, query optimization, snowpark, snowpipe and data sharing; Data Discovery, Operational Tooling, and Semantic modeling; Character encoding standards (UTF-8, ISO-8859-1, ASCII) to maintain data integrity during ingestion; Building, optimizing, and managing ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data; Development using Agile methodologies; Version control using Git and Maven; Using SQL and corresponding tools to query data within large datasets in a business environment; Designing, developing and integrating APIs using Protocol Buffers and adhering to AIPs; Orchestration and automation with Airflow and DBT; Managing relational and dimensional schemas and ETL pipelines for ABOR, IBOR, Analytics and Risk as well as KPI datasets; Implementing and managing single-tenant and multi-tenant solutions while ensuring scalability and data isolation; and Hands-on experience in open-source data catalogue platforms including DataHub. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Liquibase for database schema version control and change management.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$145,700.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
