Staff Software Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation
- Experience with React or equivalent MVVM frameworks
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL/document storage systems
- API design and best practices for internal and external services
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
- Experience building and operating large-scale SaaS products
- Working knowledge of cloud vendors and related services
- Operational/DevOps experience including observability and monitoring tools
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable services for detecting and remediating accessibility issues
- Drive technical architecture and long-term roadmap decisions across the platform
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Machine Learning teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Develop across the full stack and own end-to-end delivery of features
- Optimize performance, data models, and service-oriented architecture for web-scale traffic
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
- Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, observability, and robust CI/CD pipelines
- Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term maintainability and technical debt management
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable professional software engineering experience
