Overview:
Our client, a leading law firm in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking a dedicated Employment Law Attorney to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to manage a diverse caseload of impactful employment matters for both individuals and businesses, within a firm known for its client-focused advocacy and strong litigation results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage employment law cases from initial client intake through to resolution.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery demands, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct and defend depositions; attend and represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on compliance with state and federal employment regulations.
- Handle cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts.
- Collaborate with colleagues while independently managing your own caseload.
Requirements:
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Experiences: Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing employment law.
- Other:
- Active license to practice law in New Jersey is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of federal and NJ employment statutes (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, NJLAD, CEPA).
- Litigation and courtroom experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $125,000 - $160,000 per year (plus performance-based bonuses)
- Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401(k) plan, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays.
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Work arrangement: On-site (5 days per week at the Fort Lee, NJ office)
