Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and develop solutions for water, wastewater, and water resources projects (treatment plants, pump/booster stations, distribution systems).
- Support Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing projects while monitoring budgets and schedules.
- Prepare scopes, fee estimates, and technical approaches for proposals and subconsultant coordination.
- Perform design review, quality control, calculations, and basis-of-design documentation for complex projects.
- Lead construction administration tasks including meetings, submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, and closeout.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior engineers; provide performance input and daily guidance.
- Attend and present at client meetings and public hearings; prepare technical memoranda and reports.
- Identify potential claims or contractual issues and report concerns to the Project Manager.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required) with 7+ years water engineering design experience
- OR Master of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 5+ years relevant experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure by reciprocity / working toward licensure within one year
