Skills
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM or similar H&H modeling tools
- Strong knowledge of stormwater regulations, LID, and sustainable site design
- Demonstrated project management and multi-project coordination skills
- Experience with technical report preparation, QA/QC and design deliverables
- Effective written and verbal communication and client management skills
- Experience interacting with state and federal regulators
- Budgeting, cost control and invoicing experience
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on water, wastewater, and water resources design projects (treatment plants, pump stations, distribution systems)
- Supervise and mentor technical staff and coordinate interdisciplinary teams and subconsultants
- Prepare proposals, scopes, budgets, and project initiation documents
- Manage project implementation, schedules, budgets, quality control, and client communications
- Prepare and review plans, specifications, reports, and calculations to ensure technical accuracy
- Represent the firm at client and public meetings and make technical presentations
- Track project costs and invoicing, control costs, and maximize project profitability
- Participate in business development, prepare proposals, and cultivate client relationships
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (required) or Master’s in relevant field
- PE (Registered Professional Engineer) or ability to obtain reciprocity in primary states of practice
