Software Engineer, Intelligence Systems
Skills
- 3-5+ years software engineering experience
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Java (object-oriented languages)
- Experience with relational (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB) databases
- Hands-on experience building data processing and analysis pipelines
- Strong debugging and systems reasoning skills
- Ability to work autonomously and iterate quickly
- Experience reading and modifying legacy/established codebases
- Current active U.S. Top Secret clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain software solutions deployed to Intelligence Community customers.
- Design and implement code to improve products and scale capability to additional customers.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams to plan, build, and test complex features.
- Create and analyze metrics for debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Partner with end users to convert operational needs into pragmatic software features.
- Develop small-scale custom applications and integrate them into larger systems.
- Triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate remediation steps.
- Rapidly learn and navigate established codebases and complex system architectures.
Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field
- Strong engineering fundamentals from industry experience or academic training
- Ability to obtain and maintain required U.S. security clearance (Top Secret with Full Scope Polygraph)
