Senior Software Engineer, Cloud
Skills
- Strong software engineering experience in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages (3–7+ years)
- Deep Kubernetes expertise and experience with managed Kubernetes offerings (Rancher, Anthos, etc.)
- Proven experience architecting and securing production cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP or AWS)
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (preferably Terraform)
- Experience with monitoring, threat detection, and log analysis tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Operations Suite)
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams and working cross-functionally
- Active U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance (must be able to maintain)
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement defensive security controls across corporate, development, and production cloud environments
- Design and maintain tooling and infrastructure for building, deploying, and operating cloud-native applications
- Harden, monitor, and remediate security weaknesses and baseline regressions in Kubernetes clusters
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and product teams to secure environments containing critical data
- Design for high availability and scalability across multi-cloud and on-prem deployments
- Act as a subject matter expert and technical lead for cloud architecture and multi-cloud strategy
- Mentor and lead engineers; coordinate cross-functional technical efforts
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
