- 6+ years of software/product design experience
- Mastery of visual and interaction design, including micro-interactions and animations
- Expertise with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience creating scalable components and building design systems
- Strong prototyping and multimodal portfolio demonstrating impact
- Ability to articulate design rationale, process, and outcomes
- Comfort with on-site research in manufacturing/production environments
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end user interfaces that connect technical systems and business functions to improve process efficiency, evaluation, and reporting
- Create presentations and web applications that showcase capabilities, roadmaps, and act as centralized knowledge repositories
- Own design execution from discovery through implementation, prioritizing high-velocity delivery and measurable business outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand workflows and translate complex processes into intuitive interfaces
- Partner with Design Leads while exercising autonomy to make timely design decisions
- Balance tactical solutions for urgent needs with long-term design system evolution
- Create scalable components usable across device types and operational environments
- Conduct contextual research, including visiting operational environments
- Communicate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with designers across verticals to ensure consistency and share best practices
Education
- No specific degree required; relevant degree in Design, HCI, or related field preferred
- Online portfolio demonstrating multimodal experiences required
