Responsibilities
- Own NPI activities to transition electromechanical products from prototype to scalable production
- Design and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and workflows for complex assemblies
- Develop process flows and break assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processes
- Write work instructions, quality plans, inspection criteria, and manufacturing documentation
- Work with contract manufacturers (PCBA, metal fabrication, assembly) to establish repeatable processes
- Lead installation of new manufacturing systems and provide stakeholder updates on progress and changes
- Leverage automation and integrated workflows to streamline production and testing
- Travel to suppliers for sourcing, qualification, and production issue resolution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, QA, Technicians, and Program Management on DFM and troubleshooting
Education
- Degree in a technical field (engineering, math, or a hard science)
- Equivalent technical experience considered
