Senior Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering
Skills
- Proficiency with Linux, C#, Python, and NixOS
- Hands-on experience with PCBA/electronic assembly testing and electronic test equipment
- Strong root-cause analysis and data-driven problem solving
- Familiarity with PLM, MES, and Test Execution Systems (TES)
- Experience managing projects that integrate electrical, mechanical, and firmware/software systems
- Test automation and test architecture design
- Ability to perform ROI and cost-benefit analyses for test equipment
Responsibilities
- Direct and grow the manufacturing test engineering team; set objectives and evaluate outcomes.
- Architect and oversee product-specific manufacturing test strategies for scalable production.
- Design and implement test automation, standardization, and process improvements to increase throughput.
- Analyze test data to drive product and process enhancements and perform RCA on failures.
- Partner with product development for design-for-testability and seamless production handoffs.
- Manage procurement, qualification, and ROI assessment for new test equipment.
- Define maintenance and calibration schedules for test assets and ensure test reliability.
- Communicate test strategy and status to stakeholders and guide scaling from LRIP to FRP.
- Act as technical authority on complex manufacturing test issues and troubleshoot cross-domain problems.
- Champion safety, cost reduction, quality improvements, and productivity initiatives related to testing.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required)
- Advanced engineering degree preferred
