Skills
- Strong foundation in machine learning principles and algorithms
- Deep knowledge of computer vision (classical and deep-learning approaches)
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch (or equivalent frameworks)
- Experience with full ML development lifecycle and production deployment
- Ability to optimize models for real-time/resource-constrained inference
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize ML models for object detection, image enhancement, and perception on electro-optical and infrared sensors
- Work end-to-end across the ML lifecycle: data preparation, model training, validation, and deployment
- Optimize models for real-time and resource-constrained environments (quantization, TensorRT, ONNX, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems teams to translate sensor capabilities into robust ML solutions
- Prototype novel ML approaches and drive selected techniques into production
- Maintain thorough documentation, experiments tracking, and reproducible training pipelines
- Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in fielded systems
Education
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field required
- MS or PhD in a related field preferred
