Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for mechanical casting focused on cost, quality, and supply resilience
- Lead RFIs/RFQs/RFPs and strategic sourcing processes for mechanical casting components
- Own relationships with contract manufacturers and ensure continuity of supply, NPI to mass production, and risk management
- Partner with engineering to influence design for manufacturability and supplier-capability alignment
- Perform detailed quote and cost-breakdown analysis to make TCO-driven sourcing decisions
- Negotiate commercial agreements covering pricing, lead-times, warranties, and service terms
- Manage supplier performance metrics including delivery, quality, cost, and innovation
- Conduct technology reviews and present findings to executive staff and management
- Support prototype requirements, build milestones, and manufacturing-capex influence with CMs
Education
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field (required)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering (preferred)
