Responsibilities
- Perform purchasing of indirect and direct items including raw materials, composite components, chemicals, and electronic components.
- Establish and maintain inventory levels to mitigate shortage risks.
- Coordinate with ERP and configuration managers for demand planning and accuracy.
- Report supply chain status in production and program meetings.
- Expedite orders and communicate order status.
- Track and report supplier performance and budgetary spend per program.
- Maintain vendor approved supplier files and databases.
- Assist with supplier pricing, proposal preparation, and capability survey reviews.
- Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance and resolve supplier issues.
- Complete and monitor supplier performance reports.
Education
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years experience in a Senior Buyer role OR high school diploma with 5-7 years relevant experience.
